STATE and PGHL CHAMPIONS: 16U AA Girls

Top 20 AA Club in the USA

Welcome! Golden State Elite Hockey is a youth tier ice hockey program for Northern California players from 12U to 18U.  We are the top performing tier program in the state and we have been ranked in the top 20 AA clubs in the US by Culturama.

Our rinks are in Cupertino, San Francisco, and Vacaville.

Last season was impressive and full of great achievements. Our 18U team won the State Finals and the NAPHL Showcase Nationals and our 16 AAA team won the Western Division of the T1HL league. 27 players made NORCAL Selects. We had our first alumni sign an NHL contract. More and more of our female players and alumni are reaching higher hockey milestones including the NCAA Div I Tournament and USA Hockey Nationals. All of our AA teams made the CAHA regular season where 3 of our teams went on to the State Tier Finals. Our teams had an average winning percentage of 62.2% and, on average, out-scoring our opponents by 1.48 goals per game.

Eagle Award Recepients

Our newest recipients of the Eagle Award (the highest honor GSE bestows on someone for their contributions to GSE) are the Manzers. Laynie and Pat have volunteered for GSE for most of GSE's existence. You probably saw them running our tryouts. They still attend GSE games in Vacaville - in fact I was standing next to them at the Girls game today. If that's not enough, Pat is a CAHA Director.

If you see them around, please make sure to thank them for their years of help with making GSE what it is today.

Thanks, Pat and Laynie!

Saying good bye to a legend

Larry Cahn was one of the founders of GSE and helped make it what it is today. He made a significant impact on Northern California hockey and uncountable number of players and families. If GSE had a Hall of Fame, Larry would have his own wing.

Friends, family, and hockey supporters came out to wish Larry a fond farewell. He is taking a once-in-lifetime opportunity in Florida and we wish him well.

Larry, you will be missed! Good luck! We know that you will do great things in Florida.
