Welcome to Golden State Elite Hockey

Welcome! Golden State Elite Hockey is a youth tier ice hockey program for Northern California players from 12U to 18U.  We are the top performing tier program in the state.

Last season's performance: 87.5% of teams (7 teams) went to playoffs, 1 state title and 1 state finalist, 1 National semi-finalist, average per team winning percentage: 66%, average goals fielded per game per team: 4.33, average goals allowed per game per team: 2.27, 30 players (including 4 female players) went to CAHA Selects, and 5 teams (62.5%) ranked in the top 60 nationally.

Carson Murison drafted to the Jr. Brahmas

Goalie Carson Murison was drafted to the Jr. Brahmas where he will play along side fellow teammate, Kellen Ireland.  In fact, Kellen and Carson are roommates in North Richland Hills, Texas.

After a record turnout, our tryouts are complete and we have fielded 7 teams for the Fall/Winter season:

14u North and 14u South
16u North
18u North and 18u South
 

Alex Stoley commits to Concordia College

Congrats to GSE and Tri-Valley alumni, Alexander Stoley, for committing to Concordia College in Minnesota! In addition to getting a great education, Alex will be playing NCAA-D3 hockey. After GSE, Alex went to the BCHL Prince George Spruce Kings with help of Prince George scout and GSE 18U coach, Michael Holmes. Last year, Alex played for the NAHL Jr. Brahmas where they won the 2017 NAHL Championship (pictured here). Congrats, Alex, and have fun!

Kellen Ireland signs with the Jr. Brahmas

Kellen Ireland is moving on to bigger pastures - namely, North Richland Hills, Texas to play with the Jr. Brahmas.  It has not been determined whether he will play on their NAHL or NA3HL team.  Congrats and good luck, Kellen!

 

Donovan Garcia headed for the USPHL!

Our own Donovan Garcia has been offered a spot on the Islanders Elite team with the USPHL!  Islanders are located in North Andover, Mass.  Congrats and good luck, Dono!

 

Deven Boldway invited to WHL Main Camp

Deven Boldway has been invited to the WHL's Portland Winterhawks main camp.  Good luck, Deven!

 

18U at Nationals

Our 18U AA Team made it all the way to the semi-finals at Nationals in Lansing, Michigan.  That is the farthest GSE has advanced at Nationals.  Congrats to the team, Head Coach Mike Holmes, Assistant Coaches Vinny Heumann and Chip Cormier.

State Champs

Our 18U team won the State Championship, while our 14U North team was a finalist.  The 18s travel to Lansing Michigan in a couple of weeks for Nationals.

CAHA State Finals

We have three teams headed to the State Finals in Escondido on March 17th: 12U South, 14U North, and 18U.

Regular season concludes

At the end of the regular season, here is where our teams stand:

  • 12U South: 4th place and clinched playoffs
  • 12U North: 1st place and clinched playoffs
  • 14U South: their season has concluded
  • 14U North: clinched playoffs
  • 15 AAA: Went to playoffs
  • 16U South: 4th place and clinched playoffs
  • 16U North: clinched playoffs
  • 18U: 1st place and clinched playoffs 
We had a record 7 (of 8) teams make playoffs!

Justin hoists the USHL's Clark Cup

In his first year with the USHL's Tri-City Storm, GSE alumni, Justin Dixon, is hoisting the Clark Cup after winning the USHL championship.  Congrats, Justin!
